Expert Instructions for Flawless Flooring

Proper installation is key to a durable, beautiful floor. Whether it's engineered timber or stairnosings, our step-by-step guides ensure you get it right the first time — every time.

Subfloor Preparation

Check concrete moisture is below 4% RH. For wooden floors, use 18mm plywood or an approved dry base to ensure optimal timber floor performance and durability.

Glue-Down Installation

A permanent method ideal for stability. Use approved adhesive and allow 24 hours curing time for strong bonding and a flawless long-term finish.

Floating Floor Setup

A flexible and DIY-friendly option. Always maintain a 10–15mm expansion gap around edges to allow natural timber movement without causing stress or damage.

Stairnosings Installation

Measure stair rise and tread depth carefully. Apply PU adhesive every 300mm and seal all visible edges with silicone for strength, safety, and aesthetics.

Keep Your Timber Floors Looking Beautiful

Proper care ensures long-lasting beauty and durability. Follow these practical tips tailored to your floor’s finish — from weekly cleaning to annual rejuvenation.

01

Hardwax Oil Floors

Clean weekly with a pH-neutral solution and microfiber mop. Re-oil yearly using the Bespoke Refresh Kit. Light scratches? Use 220-grit sandpaper for quick local touch-ups.

02

UV Lacquer Floors

Only use a lightly damp mop. Never allow standing water or harsh cleaners. Add felt pads under furniture to avoid scuffs and surface damage over time.
